Shiba Prom distributes financial grants four times per year to Shiba Inu rescue organizations in the U.S. If you’re a Shiba rescue in need, we’d like to help! You can learn how to apply for a grant on this page.

*Applications for services that still need to be performed (such as a future vet visit) will require follow-up documentation (for example, the vet bill after services have been completed).
Apply for a grant
To be eligible for a Shiba Prom grant, you must be a representative of an animal rescue organization that:
- Provides care or shelter for Shiba Inus or Shiba Inu mixes
- Is a recognized 501(c)(3) or is incorporated as a not-for-profit in the state where you do business.
How does the grant process work?
Shiba Prom accepts grant applications four times per year:
- January to March
- April to June
- July to September
- October to December.
If you’re an eligible Shiba rescue, you can:
- Apply for two grants per application cycle
- Request anywhere from $100.00 to $500.00 per grant
- Request a grant for services that need to be performed* (such as a veterinarian’s quote for a medical procedure), or for services that have already been performed (such as reimbursement for a vet bill that’s already been paid).
- Each grant is distributed as an electronic payment to the Shiba rescue via PayPal.
- To apply for two grants, please fill out a separate application for each one of your needs.

Complete the application on this page. You’ll need:
- Your contact name and information
- A digital photo of the Shiba in need
- A description of the Shiba’s situation and financial requirements
- A digital copy (PDF, JPG or PNG) of the related bill or invoice.
