What the fluff is Shiba-Ween?
A virtual event to raise money that Shiba Prom can use to award need-based grants to Shiba Inus (& Shiba mixes) in eligible rescue organizations in the USA. Read more about our grant program HERE.
How to participate in Shiba-Ween
Shiba-Ween consists of fundraising activities for hoomans & their pets PLUS a VIRTUAL Halloween party with music, videos, contest winner announcements & MORE! Our host will again be our President who is prepared to whisk you away on a bewitching broom ride into Halloween bliss with BOOty shakin' beats while calling all ghouls & goblins to join our contests & games to WIN bone-chilling prizes. All pets can participate as an "honorary Shi-BOO Inu" in Shiba-Ween!
We encourage hoomans & their pets to attend our Shiba-Ween party!
The party is held on Google Meet & we encourage you to share your video feed (camera) & use the chatroom to make the experience interactive & fun! You may wish to attend on two devices - one where you can be active in the chat room & another to share your pet's face (or YOURS!) on camera. We love seeing furbabies at our events! Afterall, Shiba Prom's motto is: "Shibas Helping Shibas: Having Fun, Raising Funds!"
Dressing up for this ghostly gathering is abso-BOO-tly encouraged!
What Halloween party is complete without some FANG-tastic garb while showing off your best monster mash moves?! You (& your pet!) might even win a prize as "BEST PAWTIER" of the night. We do our best to conjure spoooky spirits to keep the eerie energy high for a graveyard smash! But, the more ghouls & goblins having fun, the spoookier the experience will be for everyShibabody!
Shiba-Ween is free to attend & we offer free ways to have lots of fun during the event. However, it is the actual fundraising activities of Shiba-Ween that help us award grants to Shibas like Rooster here from Shiba Inu Rescue Association (SIRA). We recently awarded Rooster a $500 grant to help pay for his life-saving hospital stay. ❤️🩹

CONTEST OPENS: September 18th
CONTEST ENDS: 9pm EST on October 18th Single or group photo permitted for each category : 👻 Spookiest Shi-Boo Inu (any costume that makes us say EEK!) 👻Cutest Shi-Boo Inu (any costume that makes us say AWW!) 👻Ghosting the Camera! (Not looking at the camera! No costume required) $5.00 minimum donation to enter each category. This means your pet starts off with 5 votes! Each vote = $1.00 donation. How to WIN? The photo with the most votes wins their category! The earlier you enter, the more time you have to get VOTES for your pet which means more DONATIONS for the Shibas! Anybody can donate-to-vote for your pet (even YOU!) Category winners will receive a faBOOlous prize! Winners announced LIVE during Shiba-Ween. You don't need to be present to win. We will notify winners via email & post on our socials. |

The winner will be our FEATURED pet of the month for October in our annual 2026 Shiba Prom calendar! If you would like to make a 1-time or reoccuring CASH donation, we are forever grateful for your love & kindness. We accept donations via PayPal. Because we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation is tax deductible.
Shiba Prom members of the Board are not eligible to win prizes from the organization's fundraising events, but they may donate. Shiba Prom volunteers who are not Board members are permitted to participate in the organization's fundraising events unless otherwise restricted.
