If you are ready to help Shibas rock and roll - email us or send us a message on our Facebook page. San Francisco, CA - The Shiba Nation was shocked today to learn that the deep feud between Shibas and Corgis was all part of an elaborate set-up. During pawhaustive investigation of security breaches in the Shiba world, and the rigging of online contests, it was discovered the Corgis had indeed been framed - by a secret organization of squirrels.
The ring master of the Squirrels Againsts Corgis and Shibas (or SACS) was apprehended in a high speed chase last Friday evening after surveillance footage caught him breaking into secret Shiba cheeze stores in Sonoma, CA. In a signed confession. Howard B. Nutter confessed to leading an army of squirrels in "inappropriate" deeds in order to start a war between the Shibas and Corgis. He said, quote: "If they is chasing each other, then them dogs have no time for chasing us squirrels. It was really a matter of survival!" Based on Nutter’s full confession, Corgi Lawyer and a representative for Shibas met to discuss a Cheese Piece Accord to end the feuding. Said Corgi Lawyer “Whew, I'm glad that is over." Shiba representative, "Anonymous" said "Do I really have to give him this cheeze stick? Really?" There is an ongoing investigation into the extent of the squirrel plot as Nutter provides details of his organization in exchange for witness protection from squirrels, Corgis, Shibas and cats. For all the hoomans out there: do you remember when you were a kid and an empty box could become anything: a palace, a fort, a racecar, a rocket ship? Or maybe the weird tree in the backyard became a wild, mysterious place full of exciting adventures. Or maybe you were one of those rolling the dice in Dungeons and Dragons and making up a magical world?
Shiba Prom is that type of magical, creative place – online! The day of the big event Shibas, honorary Shibas, meowies that love Shibas and hoomans from all over the world join together to fundraise for Shiba rescues. Last year we raised over $22,000 in one day! Let your imagination run wild with that one – what can we do this year? The whole prom takes place online. Some hoomans like to arrange meetup groups to correspond with the event but this is not a requirement. But - what really happens at the prom? Well, last year DJ Zeus was tearing it up, Tokyo Shiba was doing the Tokyo Strut, the Evil Firefox girls surprised everyone on the dance floor with a foam party (and you know how Shibas feel about water and soap) and Prince Zuko was sneaking out bacon and cheeze shots. The Corgis broke in at least twice and tried to steal the prom queen and the punch bowl. One even dressed up as bacon trying to sneak in! So how do you get ready? Step One: Save the date! This year the pawty is on Saturday, June 28th. Step Two: Secure your date and your pawty pals. Attending stag is fine too – there are so many attendees no one is ever alone! Step Three: If your hoomans insist, get your fancy dress attire ready. Some Shibas, like our board member Zuko, prefer to go “nekkid” due to their ongoing protest about costumes. Step Four: Set up your Shiba Prom profile, vote for the Prom Court, and sign up for the Contests! (More info will be coming as we get closer to the date). Step Five: The big day! Sign on to the Shiba Prom website, turn up the volume and jump into the pawty! Get ready to PAWTY!
